Mindfulness & Stress Management

Mindfulness is an effective treatment for a variety of mental health concerns. Mindfulness can assist in decreasing depression, anxiety, and emotional reactivity, and have a positive impact on a client’s emotional well-being.  We live increasingly stressful lives and many of us were not taught the skills and resources to help reduce stress and live a more relaxed and peaceful life. Learning how to release tension in the body and mind helps with anxiety, stress, depression, trauma and many other mental health concerns.

OUR SESSIONS: During our mindfulness therapy sessions, we will combine traditional therapy methods with mindfulness meditative practices. One example would be to identify where you physically feel tension or emotion in your body, and bring more awareness to your emotional experience. Another way might be to become aware of your thoughts and feelings and accept them without judging yourself and not attaching to them. This technique is especially helpful for people with chronic unhappiness or high stress levels.

but you can learn to surf”
